Internal Complaints Committee

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) at BIMM has been established with the goal of addressing any grievances, complaints, or issues related to misconduct, harassment, or any form of violation of the institution’s code of conduct. This committee serves as a trusted resource for students, faculty, and staff alike, ensuring that all concerns are heard and handled with the utmost attention and confidentiality. 

Purpose and Objective: 

The primary aim of the ICC is to ensure that any complaints are effectively managed in a manner that is fair, transparent, and timely. We are dedicated to maintaining a work and study environment that is conducive to personal growth, mutual respect, and collaboration. Whether it involves inappropriate behavior, gender-based discrimination, harassment, or other ethical concerns, the committee acts as the first point of contact for anyone seeking support. 

Key Functions

• Complaint Resolution: The committee is responsible for investigating and resolving any complaints related to harassment, discrimination, and other misconduct in accordance with BIMM’s policies. 
• Awareness Programs: Organising workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to educate and inform students, faculty, and staff about their rights and responsibilities within the institution. 
• Support and Counselling: Offering a safe and supportive environment for individuals to report complaints and seek guidance or counselling. 
• Policy Recommendations: The ICC is tasked with reviewing and suggesting improvements to institutional policies, ensuring they align with current regulations and foster a safe, respectful environment for all.

Reporting Process:

If you wish to file a complaint or report an issue, the process is straightforward and accessible: 

• Submit the Complaint: Complaints can be submitted in writing to the Director, Deputy Director, or any of the Committee members of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC). You may either hand over your written complaint directly to the ICC office or approach any of the designated members in person. Rest assured, all complaints will be handled with the highest level of confidentiality and attention. 
• Investigation: Your complaint will be reviewed, and an impartial investigation will be conducted in a prompt manner. 
• Resolution: Following the investigation, appropriate actions will be taken to resolve the issue, with both the complainant and the accused being informed of the outcome.
