At Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM), part of Sri Balaji University Pune (SBUP), we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equal learning and working environment for all our students and staff. In compliance with the guidelines set forth by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), BIMM has established a dedicated SC/ST/OBC Committee.

 The committee’s primary objective is to address and eradicate any form of caste-based discrimination within the campus, ensuring that every individual belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect. 

Our Commitment to Inclusivity

At BIMM, we believe in promoting equality and opportunity for all, irrespective of caste, creed, or background. The SC/ST/OBC Committee works tirelessly to create an atmosphere where every student and staff member, regardless of their background, has equal access to opportunities, resources, and a positive, supportive environment. This committee serves as a vital part of our vision to eliminate discrimination and prejudice and to uphold the rights and dignity of every individual within the institution. 

Objectives of the SC/ST/OBC Committee: 

• Eradicate Caste-Based Discrimination: The primary aim of the committee is to prevent and address any caste-based discrimination or harassment faced by students or staff from SC, ST, or OBC backgrounds. 
• Promote Equal Opportunities: Ensuring equal access to educational resources, career opportunities, and campus facilities for students and staff from marginalized communities. 
• Support and Empowerment: Provide necessary guidance, counseling, and support to individuals from SC/ST/OBC backgrounds to help them overcome any challenges they may face due to caste-based prejudices. 
• Awareness Programs: The committee organizes workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to educate the campus community about social justice, caste equality, and the importance of inclusivity and respect. 

How We Address Grievances 

If any student or staff member feels they have been subjected to caste-based discrimination, or if they have any grievance related to this matter, they can approach the Chairperson or any of the Committee Members for immediate redressal. We guarantee a quick, transparent, and fair process to resolve the issue, ensuring that every grievance is treated with seriousness and confidentiality. 

The committee members are always available to listen to your concerns, provide counseling, and take necessary actions to resolve issues. The process is designed to ensure that no student or staff member feels marginalized or unsupported.

If you wish to file a complaint or report an issue, the process is straightforward and accessible: 

• Chairperson & Committee Members: Grievances can be submitted in writing or brought directly to the attention of the Chairperson or any of the committee members. You can reach out to them in person or by contacting the committee office. 
• Confidentiality: All complaints will be handled with complete confidentiality and will be addressed promptly in accordance with institutional policies and regulations.
