Summer Internships at BIMM

At Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM), Sri Balaji University, Pune, we emphasize a hands-on, practical approach to learning, which is why every student manager is required to complete a Company Project Studies (CPS) as part of their academic journey. The CPS is an essential internship program, designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world business environments. The internship is tailored to be directly relevant to the needs and operations of the participating company, ensuring that students gain meaningful, industry-specific experience. 

Typically, the CPS spans two months, and student managers are required to complete it after the conclusion of their first year, either at the end of the first academic year or as otherwise determined by the institute. Students have the flexibility to undertake their internships with leading companies across the country, allowing them to gain valuable exposure to different industries and organizational structures. Exceptional performance during the internship may even lead to a 'Pre-Placement Offer' (PPO), providing students with an excellent opportunity to secure a job before graduation. 

For students pursuing courses in Marketing, Finance, Operations, and PM&HRD streams, the internship period is scheduled from 1st May to 30th June. Meanwhile, students specializing in Business Analytics will undertake their projects from 1st May to 31st July. This timeline allows for in-depth involvement in projects and a chance to apply academic knowledge to solve real business problems. 

In addition to their company internships, all student managers are required to write a Research Paper based on their project topic and aim to get it published in a reputable journal. This fosters critical thinking and research skills, preparing students for future academic and professional challenges. 

Furthermore, BIMM encourages students to engage in Project-Based Learning (PBL), a crucial aspect of the CPS. Through PBL, students identify and analyze pressing social or business challenges and provide practical solutions, often backed by data-driven surveys and analysis. This empowers students to contribute to society while gaining valuable problem-solving skills.
