Women Grievances Cell

At Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM), we are deeply committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all our students and staff. The Women’s Grievance Cell serves as a vital pillar in ensuring that every woman in our institution has a platform to voice her concerns and seek redressal for any issues related to gender discrimination, harassment, or any other grievances she may face. 

As part of Sri Balaji University Pune (SBUP), BIMM upholds the principles of equality, respect, and dignity for every individual. The Women’s Grievance Cell plays an important role in supporting our commitment to providing a nurturing and harassment-free campus environment for women, where they can grow, learn, and succeed without fear or bias.

Purpose and Objectives of the Women’s Grievance Cell 

At BIMM, we believe in promoting equality and opportunity for all, irrespective of caste, creed, or background. The SC/ST/OBC Committee works tirelessly to create an atmosphere where every student and staff member, regardless of their background, has equal access to opportunities, resources, and a positive, supportive environment. This committee serves as a vital part of our vision to eliminate discrimination and prejudice and to uphold the rights and dignity of every individual within the institution. 

Objectives of the SC/ST/OBC Committee: 

The Women’s Grievance Cell is dedicated to addressing and resolving any grievances or complaints related to the safety, well-being, and rights of women on campus. Our core objectives include: 

• Promoting Gender Equality: Ensuring that every woman in our community enjoys equal rights, opportunities, and treatment, irrespective of their gender, identity, or background.
• Preventing Harassment: Addressing any issues related to sexual harassment, verbal or emotional abuse, and discrimination, and ensuring that all women feel safe and respected at all times. 
• Support and Counselling: Providing a safe space for women to express their concerns or share their experiences, ensuring they have the emotional and psychological support they need during difficult times. 
• Awareness and Education: Conducting seminars, workshops, and awareness programs to educate the campus community about gender equality, women’s rights, and the importance of mutual respect and dignity for all. 

How We Address Grievances

The Women’s Grievance Cell offers a confidential, transparent, and empathetic process for reporting any issues related to women’s safety or well-being. Whether it is related to harassment, discrimination, or any form of misconduct, the process is designed to be straightforward, respectful, and supportive. 

• Reporting the Grievance: Any student or staff member can report their grievance to the Chairperson or any of the Committee Members of the Women’s Grievance Cell. Complaints can be submitted in writing or shared in person, ensuring that the process is accessible to all. 
• Investigation and Resolution:  Once a grievance is received, the Women’s Grievance Cell ensures that a fair and unbiased investigation is conducted. We guarantee that all complaints are treated with the highest level of confidentiality and respect. 
• Redressal and Support: After the investigation, appropriate actions are taken to resolve the issue, which may include counselling, mediation, or other actions, depending on the nature of the grievance. We ensure that the complainant is kept informed of the progress and outcome of the case. 
• Follow-up and Continuous Support: The Women’s Grievance Cell offers continued support even after a grievance is resolved, ensuring that the affected individual has access to counselling and any necessary resources.

• In Person: Visit the Women’s Grievance Cell office located on campus. 
• By Appointment: You may schedule a confidential meeting with any committee member.
